The Rodgers' Bath
The Problem: The client needed to have a standard basement rough-in converted into a finished bath in less than two weeks — including securing all permits.
The Solution: We had all materials delivered directly to the site so they were ready when we could start work, which saved us time once we were able to start work. Once the job started we realized that due to a change in building codes, we’d have to break the concrete floor to move the drain lines and run new supply plumbing. The Fairfax County Inspector passed the rough-in electrical, plumbing and framing on day three of the job. Finish work entailed setting the tub/shower combination, ceramic tile, installing drywall, painting, and installing a new toilet, vanity, and fixtures. Every thing was wrapped up and final inspection passed on day 6.
What the Client Says:
When we sold our house, the buyers stipulated that they wanted us to finish the bathroom in the basement. Because ratifying the contract was, in part, contingent on what this would cost us, we needed an estimate fast! The Honey Do Crew came out the day we called, and I had a detailed estimate the next day.
We had a short timeframe to complete the job—we didn’t want to start work on the project before settlement, but then had a very short period after settlement in which to have the work done. The Crew went the extra step for me, doing the entire job in a week and half—including securing all the permits. When we learned some of the building codes had changed, which meant that the project required moving some of the plumbing, the team did it with smiles on their faces.
The Crew finished the project on schedule, and kept within the budget. The finished bathroom was beautiful. Not only that, the crew showed up when they said they were going to, and cleaned up after themselves. That was very important to us. We were impressed with every aspect of working with this team.
